Organization
- I. The Center shall have one Director, who is appointed by the President on a concurrent basis upon the recommendation of the Dean of the College, from among full-time faculty members at the rank of Associate Professor or above with expertise in Confucian studies. The Director oversees the affairs of the Center.
- II. The Center consists of two divisions, the Teaching and Research Division and the Documentation Division. Each division has one Division Chief and several staff members, who carry out the relevant work under the direction of the Director.
(1) Teaching and Research Division
- 1. Conducting continuing education and extension courses on Confucian studies.
- 2. Organizing lectures, seminars and conferences on Confucian studies.
- 3. Carrying out special research projects.
(2) Documentation Division
- 1. Archiving literature and compiling teaching materials.
- 2. Maintaining the website and publishing the Center’s e-newsletter.
- 3. Working with civic organizations to promote Confucianism.
- III. The Center shall establish an Advisory Committee on Confucian Studies (hereinafter “the Committee”), chaired by the Dean of the College, with five to seven members appointed by the President on a concurrent basis from among relevant persons within and outside the University.
